This year Bendigo Foodshare is thrilled to be partnering with Belle Property Bendigo to assist in spreading some holiday cheer.
A Reverse Advent Calendar helps to provide Christmas essentials to those who need it most in our community.
Boxes can be collected from Belle Property’s Bendigo office, at 108 Pall Mall Bendigo. Alternatively, you can use any box you have at home, it’s definitely what’s inside that counts!
Simply download the Christmas Food Drive Calendar from our website and add a pantry staple to your box each day. Once filled with essential items (and some Christmas kindness) return it to Belle Property by Thursday 19 December, and we will get the boxes directly to people who need food assistance over the holiday period.
At a time of year, where so many of us are surrounded by excess, the Reverse Advent Calendar helps restore a bit of the balance. This initiative is a fantastic way to help children understand the importance of giving, not simply receiving.
Last year we collected approximately 80 boxes from generous donors, and with your help, we are on track to eclipse this total for the 2024 holiday period.
