Bendigo Foodshare and Bendigo Community Farmers Market team up to grow local food systems

We’re teaming up! The Bendigo Community Farmers Market (BCFM) and Bendigo Foodshare have forged a new partnership to help grow the Bendigo Community Farmers’ Market.
The partnership brings together two community-driven organisations with a shared vision: to strengthen local food systems, support regional producers, and create vibrant spaces for people to connect through food.
This partnership is about supporting the market to thrive and creating new opportunities for impact.  It marks a significant milestone—one year since the market returned to the Golden Square site.
BCFM is the first activation of Bendigo Foodshare’s community food hub vision.
An exciting new chapter – the new partnership officially came into effect on 31 October 2025.
It marks the beginning of a new chapter for local food systems in Bendigo.

Visit the Bendigo Community Farmers Market

Held on the second Saturday of the month, from 9am until 12.30pm, Bendigo Community Farmers Market is now located at the Bendigo Foodshare Food Hub, at 227 Breen Street, Golden Square.

The Farmer’s Market is proud to have some of our region’s best seasonal produce represented. Each month more than 50 stalls offer a range of products, including:

  • Fresh veggies, fruits and nuts
  • Meat, seafood, dairy and eggs
  • For the pantry
  • Bakery and sweet treats
  • Health and home
  • Garden and blooms
  • Artisan beverages
  • Ready to eat, ready to heat food and coffee

Shopping at the farmers market means you get high quality, freshly harvested produce, in season, in a traditional, market square atmosphere. It also means that you are directly supporting the farmers of the Bendigo region, and therefore contributing to the local community.
