We want to say a massive thank you and congratulations to Regional Victorians of Colour for another successful Café for a Day session!

With the help of Hoo-Gah Café and chefs Gina and Lee, the 7 participants sold 24 serves of Thai green curry with coconut rice and roti.

The community facilitator, Eh Thout highlighted the importance of the program, saying “It just allows the youth and the Karen community to come and experience what it’s like to work in a café” and it will “give them more confidence that they can come and try it out and apply for jobs”

The participants gained work readiness skills, knowledge about nutrition and healthy eating and kitchen and hospitality experience.

Thank you again to the RVOC!
