VPC Students at Bendigo Tafe honed their cooking skills and practiced new dishes this week when they prepared lunch for the Bendigo TAFE community, including a range of dishes selected specifically to appeal to students from multicultural backgrounds.

On the menu was a spicy chicken curry, served with steamed jasmine rice, and a vegetarian choice of fried rice packed full of vegetables and flavour. A spicy carrot salad, flavoured with chilli, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, kecap manis and coriander was served as an accompaniment and there were condiments to choose from including freshly prepared chilli sauce, roasted nuts, fried shallots and fresh coriander. Flatbread was also prepared by the students who worked hard to have everything ready for an early lunch which was greatly appreciated by all who attended!
