Bendigo Foodshare is calling on businesses, organisations and individuals to donate this tax time. Every donation supports our work to fight food insecurity and to collect, grow and distribute food across our communities.

“Bendigo Foodshare truly is powered by generosity. We work closely with hundreds of businesses, schools, manufacturers, retailers, charity partners and volunteers to get food out to people in the Central Victorian community who need it most. Our supporters assist in many ways, including donating money, food, time, or even having a donation tin on the counter. We appreciate the support from the entire community to support our program. We believe in locals supporting locals,” Michelle Murphy, CEO of Bendigo Foodshare says.

Over the past three years people in our communities have been struggling, requests for assistance have increased by 60%. Food relief frontline organisations across Bendigo and Central Victoria rely on Bendigo Foodshare to provide food for those in need.

We need your help to continue our work. The financial challenges many have faced this year have more people accessing food relief than ever before. Concerningly, many of the people accessing these services have never had to seek help in the past, including families with two working parents.

A donation before June 30 will help us process over 750,000kg of food through our warehouse and get it to where it is needed. Donations are a great way to reduce your taxable income and help the community at the same time!

Help us continue to collaborate and engage with the community, partners and other stakeholders to support people seeking food relief. Donate here.
