Recently, our CEO Michelle and Warehouse Coordinator Joe visited California Gully Primary School, where Principal Andrew and Business Manager Nicole gave us a warm welcome.
We’ve been proud to support the school with food relief for the past five years. Just in the last financial year alone, we provided 8,300kg of food to help nourish their school community.
The school supports 30-50 families through its food relief program, distributing food in several ways. Every Thursday, families receive food to take home after school, while the Welfare Officer prepares additional parcels for those in need. The program also helps stock the school’s Breakfast Club, and fresh fruit and veggies are always a favourite.
California Gully Primary is a shining example of how food relief can nourish more than just bodies – it strengthens community connections and supports wellbeing.
