Last week, we shared the name of our Community Food Hub, Dhelkunya Balak, meaning nourishing community in local Dja Dja Wurrung language.
Today, we’re carrying this idea further across our work, as we introduce a new tagline – Nourishing Central Victoria.
These two moments are closely connected.
The idea of nourishing sits at the heart of our work, not just to feeding people, but to nourishing communities, partnerships and local food systems.
It also describes that while our home is in Bendigo, our work reaches far beyond the city, supporting thousands of people each week through our network of local partners across central Victoria.
Our name remains Bendigo Foodshare. Our new tagline helps tell the broader story of our impact – nourishing communities across central Victoria.
