We’re excited to offer you an opportunity to get organically grown produce, picked on the same day from our Golden Gums Farm in Strathfieldsaye and sourced from other local growers!
Picking, packing and selling produce boxes is new for us! So we’re looking for up to 15 customers to join us for a 6-week trial, starting next Thursday, 6th July.
For only $35 per week plus free delivery within metro Bendigo each Thursday you will recive a box containing 8-9 different freshly picked seasonal vegetables and herbs each week. Plus, as a thank you for supporting our pilot, you will recive a gift – a little something preserved using our produce (made by our friends at Vintage Kitchen preserves).
Orders will be ready on Thursdays for delivery or pre-arranged pick-up.
Week 1 Produce Box (subject to change slightly):
Leafy greens mix (rocket, silver beet, kale, mustard greens), beetroot, fennel, rhubarb, Jerusalem artichoke, ginger (grown in Missabotti, NSW), Dutch cream potatoes (grown by our friends at Gung Hoe Growers in Harcourt), herbs (lemon balm, thyme).
Note: we’re all about giving variety, and sometimes we don’t grow a lot of each vegetable, so you’re getting a lot of different vegetables that may be varied shapes and weights.
As part of our pilot, we hope you’ll be patient and happy to provide us feedback so we can learn and develop an amazing product!
Purchasing your Golden Gums produce box from us directly supports our Grow Cook Share Food Hub to support a healthy local food system, including supporting:
- Our local producers with a fair price
- The development of food growing skills with young people in our community
- Our food relief efforts to put healthy food on the plates of those in our community doing it tough.
