It is true that our van is powered by generosity and this was highlighted when we took our van ‘Benny’ to visit our neighbours at CVGT Employment to say thank you for their generosity and continued support.
CVGT Employment has provided us with $9,000 to assist those who are food insecure and affected by the floods. Food insecurity is affecting more people than ever before, the rising cost of living combined with lasting effects from the floods last year means that everyday families are being pushed into poverty. This donation will help us allocate funds to where they are needed most.
CVGT recently hosted a food drive for their employees, while our CEO Michelle was visiting she accepted four overflowing crates of donated food that two of our lovely volunteers Chris and Kevin (pictured here) loaded into the van.
