Yesterday our CEO Michelle and our Warehouse Operations Manager Kaye were back on the road, this time they went up north to Kyabram to meet with Sherri (pictured here) and some of the lovely volunteers that give their time and services to the Kyabram Community Learning Centre.
Kyabram Community Learning Centre do a great job at supporting their community in many ways, including taking on the role of:
Early childhood learning
A VicRoads Centre
A Centrelink Centre
Kyabram Community Learning Centre is also a go-to place for those in their community who are struggling. Those who come through the doors include people and families hit by the increased cost of living, and those who were hit by the floods late last year and still trying to find their feet and rebuild their lives and their homes. They supply their community with all the essentials, including:
Food
Clothing
Household goods
Bendigo Foodshares’ partnership with KLKC has provided 6,700kgs of food to those in need in the local community over the last financial year. That’s equivalent to over 13,000 meals!
