Christmas Giving Appeal

We urgently need your help this Christmas

Food insecurity in central Victoria is no longer a hidden issue. It's here in our towns, our streets, and for many, in our own neighbourhoods. According to Foodbank's 2025 Hunger Report, 1 in 3 Australian households are struggling to put food on the table – and 1 in 5 are severely food insecure, regularly skipping meals or going whole days without eating.

Bendigo Foodshare is stepping up once again to support locals doing it tough.  Our food partners are seeing more people in need – and we're doing everything we can to keep up. With the help of local service clubs and community organisations, we're providing free food relief through our annual Pop-Up Food Pantry – a lifeline for families facing impossible choices between rent, bills, and groceries.

But we can't do it alone.

Last year, our generous community helped us raise $50,000 at Christmas time – enough to keep food flowing to families in need throughout the holiday season.

Please donate to our Christmas Giving Appeal.  And if you're not in a position to donate financially, consider donating food, so that we can make sure no one goes hungry.

Every contribution counts. Our community has always been our greatest strength – and we know you'll rise to the occasion once more.

Your contributions will help us purchase food and provide food relief to 15,500 people each week, through programs such as soup kitchens, community lunches, school breakfast and lunch programs for children coming to school hungry, and the provision of food hampers to people in need.

This holiday season, your generosity can bring hope and warmth to those in Central Victoria doing it tough.

Please give generously to our Christmas Giving Appeal

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and can also reduce your taxable income.

If you would like to speak to someone about your donation please contact us on (03) 5444 3409 or email communications@bendigofoodshare.org.au
